Hello and Welcome! I’m Maryám and I'm so excited to be a part of the Altenew November 2019 Gradient Cardstock Release Blog Hop. If you are coming from Norine Borys, you are in the right place! :) Your next stop in the hop is the lovely Vicky Papaioannou. If you get lost, you can always go back to the Altenew Card Blog or check out the entire blog hop list at the end of this post. There is also a fun giveaway, so be sure to read all the way to the end!
Altenew gradient cardstock shades have been hand-selected to coordinate with our inks, making them the perfect choice for layered die-cutting, 3D dies, and more! The color families include Cherry Blossom, Green Meadows, Red Cosmos, Sea Shore, Shades of Purple, and Summer Afternoon, and each sheet has been sized to fit on our Mini Blossom Die Cutting Plates. You're sure to find one (or more!) to add to your collection!
“Happy Girl” – Scrapbook Layout
For this layout, I used Peony Dream 3D Die Set and since I wanted to showcase all the colors, I used the and all the new gradient cardstock sets. The process I follow for this layout was very simple. I started by building the flowers (this part took most of the time), next put together the leaves, and finally the photo, the title, the journaling, and all the embellishments.
“Happy Birthday” – Card
For this card, I used the Layered Snowflake Stars Cover Die A to create a really fun background. What I did was cut the background die on several colors of cardstock and also on white. Then, I took the little inside pieces and adhered them onto a 4 x 5 ¼” white cardstock to create like an inlay die cutting look. For the sentiment, I used “Happy Birthday” from the Floral Sprig Stamp Set.
“Craftiness is Happiness” – Card
For my last card, I went with a more simple look I used the Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set and built two flowers, one with the Red Cosmos Gradient Cardstock Set, and the other one with the Summer Afternoon Set. For the leaves I used the Green Meadows set, and for the sentiment, the brand-new Crafty Greetings Stamp Set.
