ALTENEW BUILD-A-FLOWER: LAVENDER RELEASE BLOG HOP + GIVEAWAY

Hello and Welcome! I’m Maryám and I'm so excited to be a part of the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Lavender Release Blog Hop. If you are coming from The Hedgehog Hollow, you are in the right place! :) Your next stop in the hop is Mindy Eggen. If you get lost, you can always go back to the Altenew Card Blog or check out the entire blog hop list at the end of this post. There is also a fun giveaway, so be sure to read all the way to the end!

I was so excited when I saw that this month's flower was going to be Lavender! I have always wanted to go and visit lavender fields because I love this flower and its beautiful bluish-purple color. Also, for what I could find on google this flower represents purity, devotion, serenity, grace, and calmness. Altenew's representation of the lavender flower is beautiful, and guess what?! There is more. Altenew has also put together an ink set to help you build your flowers. Awesome, right?!
"Thanks a bunch" - Card
For my first project, I created a very simple card. I used the Square Weave Pattern Stencil for the background and stamped and build to lavenders for which I used the Deep Blue Seas mini ink cube set and for the leaves, Green Fields mini ink cube set. For the sentiment, I choose to use "thanks a bunch" and heat embossed with Pure White Embossing Powder.
"Sending Hugs" - Traveler's Notebook
For this project, I tried to represent in some way the lavender fields that I have always wanted to visit. I stamped and cut using the coordinating dies lots of flowers and also cut some of the silhouettes of flowers onto vellum paper just to add some more dimension. In the end, I put the photo, title, and journaling at the top right corner of the right page and added some iridescent sequins.

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog for a chance to win. Altenew will also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 11/9/2019.
