Hello and Welcome! I’m Maryám and I'm so excited to be a part of the Altenew October 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop. If you are coming from Terri Koszler, you are in the right place! :) Your next stop in the hop is LauraJane. If you get lost, you can always go back to the Altenew Card Blog or check out the entire blog hop list at the end of this post. There is also a fun giveaway, so be sure to read all the way to the end!
What I love about this release is that beside the beautiful floral stamps that Altenew always releases, we also got some winter-themed stamps, a 2020 stamp set, and a brand new product- Art String Dies!!! I am so excited about these new dies because they are awesome and so versatile. Check out my projects below to see how I used them, and click here to see the entire release.
"Hello Family" - Scrapbook Layout
For my first project, I started by heat embossing the beautiful flowers from the Precious Peony Stamp Set, heat embossed them on watercolor paper and colored them with my Watercolor Brush Markers. Next, I use the String Art Heart Die and stitched around the hearts with embroidery thread. In the end, I felt like the page needed something else, so I took my Deco Lines Washi Tape and added a thin strip on both sides of the page.
"Time to Smile" - Traveler's Notebook
Since I saw the Delicate Tiles Stamp Set on the catalog I knew that I had to have it. I don't know why but lately I have been obsessed with tiles stamps and this one it's just perfect. I created a traveler's notebook page and used one of the layered tiles to create a border on both pages. I also used one of the sentiments from the set, "Time to Smile", for the title of my page.
"Best Wishes" - Card
For this card, I used the Winter Wishes Stamp Set and stamped the house on to watercolor paper. Later on, I took my Watercolor Brush Markers and colored the house and created a complete scenery from it. For the sentiment, I used one of the stamps from the same set.
"Hello" - Card
For my last project, I created a card using the String Art Rectangles Die. I used all of the dies together so I could create my own stitching pattern in the background. I used two colors of embroidery thread and stitched a chevron pattern. Once I finished that part, I heat embossed one of the branches from the Rose Blossom Stamp Set on to vellum paper, adhered it to the background, and last but not least, I put the sentiment of the card.
