ALTENEW: HOW TO MAKE A LAYOUT FT. COLOR WHEEL DIE

Hello, crafty friends! This is Maryám I’m so excited to be back here with my first post of the year. For today’s post, I have created a layout that features one of my favorite stand-alone dies, the Color Wheel Die. One of my favorite things about this die is that it is very versatile and can be combined with any stamp or die you want.
How-to
I started by gathering all the supplies I needed. Next, I pulled out the Color Wheel Die and since this die set includes two pieces, I took both of them and cut out a couple of color wheels from white cardstock with the help of my manual die-cutting machine.
After that, I backed one color wheel with different colors of cardstock from the Gradient Cardstock Sets in rainbow order and for the other one, I used vellum paper.
Following this, I fussy cut some flowers and leaves from the Botanical Rhapsody Washi Tape, and stamped some others from the Flower Garden and Garden Treasure stamp sets. Next, I took all the elements, including my photo and journaling and played with different layout ideas until I decided on one.
For the title of my page, I used the Alphabet Stickers from the Live Your Dream Collection and used some of the capital letters to form the word “Crazy”.
And last but not least, I added some sequins and enamel dots just to add some shine.
That is it for today! I hope these ideas featuring the Color Wheel Die inspire you to create something new! If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below and I’ll be really happy to answer them.

Have an awesome Thursday!

  1. This is sooo fun. Lots of very cool things to look at, super journaling. I love that you made the color wheel be the only real color on this. Brilliant!
