Hello and Welcome! I’m Maryám and I'm so excited to be a part of the July 2019 Stencils Altenew Release Blog Hop. If you are coming from Laurie Willison's Blog, you are in the right place! :) Your next stop in the hop is Emily Midgett. If you get lost, you can always go back to the Altenew Card Blog or check out the entire blog hop list at the end of this post. There is also a fun giveaway, so be sure to read all the way to the end!
Altenew has come up with nine new stencils designs and I’m absolutely in love with them. My favorite part about this release is that it is full of versatile and amazing designs that will work with anything you already have. You can check out the entire collection here.
Project 1 - Together, Always & Forever Layout: For my first project, I created a scrapbook layout. I started by applying Altenew Embossing Paste over the Buffalo Plaid Builder Stencil, let it dry, and then applied some ink with the help of my blending tool. I did this because I wanted the beautiful texture and design of the stencil to be seen. Next, I stamped some flowers and leaves from the Beautiful day Stamp Set, heat embossed them and then colored then using watercolors. After that, I positioned all of the elements I had in an 8 ½ x 11” inches white cardstock. In the end, I added some leaves I previously inked using the Wonderful Wreath Stencil, inked up the Doily Frame Stencil, fussy cut it, then cut it in a half and added a piece of it at the top and the bottom of my page.
Project 2 - Sending Hugs Card: For this card, I used the Bubble Wrap Stencil and created a background with it. I also used one of the floral clusters from the Forever in Love Stamp Set and stamped it on to watercolor paper, heat embossed it using gold embossing powder and colored it with watercolors. For the sentiment, I used one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, Beautiful Day.
Project 3 - Live the Life You Have Imagined Card: For my last project, I used On the Plus Side Stencil and created a rainbow background mixing some inks. I also added some coordinating gems and a cute elephant from the Reflection Wood Veneer Set. For the sentiment, I heat embossed “Live the life you have imagined” from the A Walk in the Woods Stamp Set.
