Hello, friends! This is Maryám and today I’m going to be focusing on and sharing some ideas on how to use the gorgeous Exotic Garden Stamp Set. This 4 x 6 stamp set features a beautiful hand-drawn floral bouquet making it perfect for different coloring techniques. In addition to that, there is also a coordinating die available which works perfectly with the stamp set.
For my first project, I made an 8 1/2 x 11″ inches layout in which I created a floral wreath as the main focus of my design.
How-to:
To create my layout I started by stamping onto watercolor paper using the Obsidian Pigment Ink and heat embossed it with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder.
Next, I grabbed my Tropical Fiesta Watercolor Brush Markers and colored the image.
Once I finished coloring all the flowers and leaves, I took the Exotic Garden Coordinating Die and cut out the images.
For the title of my page, I used the Live your Dream Puffy Alphabet Stickers to spell out the words “love this”. To finish the layout I added some sequins around the wreath as well as three little wood veneer hearts.
You can check out the video tutorial here to learn how this page came together or watch it in HD on my YouTube channel.
Second Project “Happiness” – Traveler’s Notebook Page
For my second project, I created a traveler’s notebook spread. This time instead of watercoloring the flowers, what I actually did was color them using colored pencils.
Since this process takes quite some time, I only colored three of the flowers + some leaves from the cluster and fussy cut them using scissors.
To add some more fun to my design, I heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder some more floral clusters onto vellum paper. Later, I cut them out and adhered them to the page.
To finish the page, I added my favorite word as a title, “happiness”, which I stamped from the Build-A-Flower Crocus Stamp Set.
Third Project “Hugs” – Card
For my last project featuring the Exotic Garden Stamp Set, I made a landscape top folding A2 sized card.
I created a fun background mixing some Liquid Watercolors and added some shimmering with the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set.
Next, I heat embossed the floral cluster from the Exotic Garden Stamp Set onto vellum paper. Contrary to the previous project, this time I used Pure White Embossing Powder instead.
Lastly, for the sentiment, I used the Hello and Hugs Stamp & Die to say “Hugs, my sweet friend”. I also added some sequins and enamel dots as a final touch.
That is it for today! I hope you liked these ideas and feel inspired to create something new! If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below and I’ll be really happy to answer them.
Have an awesome day!
Love what you did with this set. The wreath was genius!
