Hello and Welcome! I’m Maryám and I'm so excited to be a part of the August 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Altenew Release Blog Hop. If you are coming from Amber Rain Davis' Blog, you are in the right place! :) Your next stop in the hop is Agnieszka Malyszek. If you get lost, you can always go back to the Altenew Card Blog or check out the entire blog hop list at the end of this post. There is also a fun giveaway waiting for you, so be sure to read all the way to the end!
One of the things I love about every Altenew release is the beautiful flowers they come up with every time. This August release is no exception, and as usual, we have lots of new flowers and of course fun abstract stamps as well. To see the entire release click here.
Project 1 – At the Park Scrapbook Layout: For this layout, I used the beautiful Antique Roses Stamp Set along with its coordinating die set. I stamped several roses and leaves and created two big clusters, one at the top and the other one at the bottom. In the center, I put my photo, the title, and my journaling. I also heat embossed some leaves form the Leaf Clusters Stamp Set onto some vellum paper using the Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
Project 2 - You bring Happiness Scrapbook Layout: In this layout, I used the Simply the Best Stamp Set along with its coordinating die to create 3D Flowers. I also used the new Pleasant Pansy 3D Die and the Leaf Clusters Stamp Set. For the background, I applied one layer of gesso and created a kind of a grid using the Lava Rock Brush from the Tropical Fiesta Watercolor Brush Markers.
Project 3 – Happy Birthday Card: This card was inspired by the beautiful Wycinanki Art. If you don’t know what it is, Wycinanki is a Slavic version of the art form of papercutting which is very popular in Poland, Ukraine, etc. After a couple of hours searching on google, I was really impressed by this art, so I created a card using the Polish Papercuts 3D Die and the Wonderful Wycinanki Stamp Set. All of the paper cuts were adhered into a vellum paper and popped up with foam adhesive.
Project 4 – Thank You Card: For this card, I created a background using the Dot Art Stamp Set. I chose some of the triangles from the set and heat embossed them using the Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. Next, I did some ink blending over my background, put a flower in the center and added my sentiment from the Simply the Best Stamp Set.
